DAY 3 - typos? yes please!

Oh yeah... This is why I moved to NYC.

Today was my first day on the job/intern.  It was amazing.  I've never been to a club in NYC, so getting to see two (one totally empty, one in full swing) was really awesome.  Wednesday will be my first show I get to work, but tonight the first actual show I got to see in the City.  I left work around 8pm and was debating if I should even make the trek to Brooklyn to see The Thermals.  I'm super stoked I did because I was able to meet people I've sent tons emails to and venture out on my own.

When I arrived in Brooklyn my first thought was that Williamsburg was kind of sketchy.  I mean, it was dark and I've watched too much Law And Order.  There totally could have been someone looming in the shadows.  Luckily that was not the case, but after the show I did take  off after as I assumed at least 1/4 of the club would be heading to lower Manhattan and would ward off any criminals ...as there's always safety in numbers.  When I entered the train station, AFTER passing through the turn style AND paying $2, the lady's voice announced that the next train would be 45mins.  Everyone in the station was PISSED.  People started asking around for others who were traveling to the same neighborhood to see if anyone wanted to split a cab.  After I found a few hipsters who were heading to the L.E.S. we decided to exit the station and hail a cab.  As I EXITED the turnstyle, the little guy in his little glass box said a Manhattan bound train was pulling AS WE WALKED AWAY.  Really?  So I hopped it and caught the train.  Unfortunately I was roped into a conversation about Dan Deacon (?) and accidently exited at the wrong stop with haste.  It wasnt so bad, as during the 15 blocks I was able to eat dinner (falafel and vitamin water) and thinking about the night/day's events.
